Allotment  review;

Whaplode garden allotments will be pegged out by Cllrs Merchant and Barlow. 

Cemetery update:

Work by Marcus Goose on the yew trees has been completed, new trees have been planted and a letter of thanks sent to Prof Gregory. The Clerk will contact the family regarding the Issitt memorial bench.

Bridleway:

Cllr Merchant has reported that following a number of planning applications in recent years we need to establish who has access to it up to the Crown land. Cllr Barlow will contact the Crown agent and the Clerk will try to locate the title deeds.

Precept 2022-2023:

The precept has not been increased for two years, and the following grants were amended after discussion Whaplode Playing field and Whaplode Drove playing field increase to £1,500 and £1,200. Reduce Whaplode PCC to £1,000 as the annual cost for cutting hedges of approx. £1,500 per annum will be invoiced to the council for vat purposes and the PCC requested to submit an annual budget in October as part of the precept review. Cllrs agreed unanimously to increase the precept by £500 to £14,500 for 2022/2023 – the Clerk will circulate to members of the Council.

General correspondence:

Cllr Stancer will submit photographs of the damaged bus shelter in Farrow Road which the Clerk reported to the police pre Christmas.

The date of the next full council meeting is 16th February at Whaplode St Marys church, Cllr Barlow will book venue.                                

There being no further issues the Chairman closed the meeting. The Clerk will circulate the minutes to Councillors.
